I love this book and the cover, so why not use it right? The Russian club I am involved with its holding a chess tournament to help raise money to send suitcases full of clothes and toys to Russian orphans this Christmas. I have not played Chess in a very long while.

My chess career started in the third grade and not happily I’ll tell you that. My mom enrolled me into a pre shcool program in which she would take me to school early and I would participate in reading and playing chess.

I am not nearly as good at chess as my father, my grandfather, and my cousins. They are good. Very good. And it is hard to beat them but I do have an understanding and an ability to play the game that I didn’t previously have.

I guess we will have to see the outcome. The tournament is next Wednesday and there will be brackets and a time limit. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how I do.
