Well I kind of have an allergy to uncooked eggs with is very not cool and prevents me from taking the flu shot with the million people out there who can freely take it. Because of this I might not be able to get into the navy since apparently the flu shot is one of the requirements to be comissioned. great.

After having a serious life crisis I’ve come to the conclusion that there is no way to know whether I can or cannot take the flu shot unless I test myself to see how severe of a reaction I would have if any. I can eat hard boiled eggs and any food that is cooked with eggs in it. Apparently the part of the flu shot that contains egg is all egg protein. So who even knows if I can or can’t take it?

Now I’m going to be getting a skin test done to see if it will help determine the matter. Then I’ll debate on taking it or not taking it. I’m pretty much going to say F it and go for it as long as I’m in the room with individuals that know what they are doing and can save me if I have a severe allergic reaction. I am done with my application, the only thing left was to take it before a board for review. I’ve come this far and I’m not letting this stop me from doing what I want to do. FML.
