And so the time has come. Tomorrow morning I will be making the journey, by plane, over to the Newport RI naval base and I will be there for one night before my hell begins. Apparently my class 04-10 was lucky enough to be blessed with one of the toughest DI’s around. He goes by the name Coyer… “Coyer the Destroyer” and he has two things on his mind. Pain and Intensity. Couldn’t be more pumped about it. I might scream and cry but I will fight and I will not give up.
I will soon be a United States Sailor. So goodbye for now, but I will be back and I will be more excited then ever.
“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checked by failure… Then to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.” – Theodore Roosevelt

Good Afternoon Officer Candidate (Soon to be Candidate Officer),
I hope you're still checking this! It's Candidate Officer Jin from 03-10, you probably remember me talking to you all right after your 6th Week PI and before you were put back into poopy suits.
I'm excited for you to get on deck with us upstairs!
Best,
Sean
You may not get this, but I wish you the best . . .
